PHS Group Limited
Join PHS Group Limited as an HR Advisor—be the trusted people partner that helps teams perform
If you love turning people challenges into practical solutions, this is your opportunity. At PHS Group Limited, you’ll work as a trusted HR Advisor to business leaders, delivering commercially focused guidance across a wide range of HR matters. You’ll help drive consistency, support strong employee relations, and ensure performance and organizational people processes run smoothly—while building credibility through clear advice and proactive support.
About The Role
Based in Caerphilly with travel required, this permanent role is designed for an HR professional who enjoys partnering with leaders and influencing outcomes. You’ll be working Monday to Friday, full-time, providing expert HR input across day-to-day people issues and key employment-related decisions.
This is a hands-on HR role where your ability to communicate, advise, and manage sensitive situations with confidence will make a real difference.
What You’ll Do
As an HR Advisor, you’ll be at the heart of people-related activity—supporting managers, helping shape decisions, and ensuring consistent HR practice across the business.
- Act as a trusted partner to business leaders, providing expert HR guidance that is grounded in best practice and aligned to business needs
- Manage employee relations casework, ensuring matters are handled fairly, consistently, and in line with policy and employment law
- Support performance management by advising on effective processes, goal-setting, capability, and fair and timely outcomes
- Drive consistency in how HR policies and procedures are applied across teams and locations
- Provide practical, solutions-focused advice to help managers make confident decisions
- Influence decision-making through clear recommendations and a strong understanding of HR risk and impact
- Support organisational processes across a broad range of people matters (e.g., changes, engagement, and workforce-related activity)
- Maintain strong documentation and records to ensure decisions and case handling are accurate and auditable
- Work collaboratively with HR colleagues and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of HR outcomes
- Keep your knowledge current by staying up to date with employment law, HR best practice, and internal policy updates
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a proactive HR Advisor who can balance empathy with commercial awareness—someone who can advise with confidence and help managers navigate complex people situations.
- Experience in an HR Advisor or similar HR generalist/ER-focused role
- Strong knowledge of employee relations and performance management processes
- A solutions-oriented approach—able to recommend practical next steps, not just highlight issues
- Confidence working with managers to influence decision-making and drive consistent outcomes
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain HR guidance clearly and professionally
- Strong attention to detail, especially when handling sensitive situations and maintaining records
- The ability to manage priorities effectively in a fast-moving environment
- Willingness and ability to travel as required across the business
