Fitz Fish Ponds

Build Something Beautiful at Fitz’s Fish Ponds

Want a hands-on job where your work becomes a real, visible transformation—ponds, waterfalls, and water features that people can enjoy for years? Fitz’s Fish Ponds is hiring a Construction Laborer/Worker to help bring our projects to life. If you’re dependable, eager to learn, and ready to work outdoors, this is a great place to grow your skills in a trade that blends craftsmanship with nature.

About Fitz’s Fish Ponds

Fitz’s Fish Ponds is known for designing, constructing, and maintaining high-quality ponds, waterfalls, and water features. We believe every installation should feel unique—tailored to the space, the homeowner, and the way water should look and sound in a landscape.

From excavation to finishing details, our team takes pride in doing the job right the first time. You’ll be part of a crew that values safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship.

What You’ll Do

As a Construction Laborer/Worker, you’ll support skilled tradespeople and help complete pond and water-feature installations from start to finish. Your day-to-day work may vary by project and site conditions, but you can expect meaningful, physical, and practical responsibilities.

  • Assist with excavation and site prep, including moving materials and preparing installation areas
  • Carry, load, and unload construction supplies (rock, liner materials, tools, and equipment)
  • Support pond and waterfall construction tasks under direction of the crew
  • Help with leveling, positioning, and basic assembly to keep projects aligned and properly built
  • Maintain jobsite cleanliness and organization to support safety and workflow
  • Operate basic tools and assist with equipment handling as trained (e.g., shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, hand tools)
  • Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE on every job
  • Work effectively as part of a crew, communicating with team members and taking feedback seriously
  • Assist with basic finishing tasks, including tidying edges, staging materials, and preparing surfaces

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who shows up, works hard, and takes pride in doing quality work—even when the job is physically demanding. Experience is a plus, but attitude and reliability matter just as much.

  • Comfort working outdoors in changing weather conditions
  • Ability to perform physical labor (lifting, carrying, digging, standing for extended periods)
  • Strong work ethic and reliability—punctual, dependable, and ready to contribute
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions to meet project standards
  • Team-first mindset with good communication and respect for coworkers
  • Basic tool familiarity is helpful (training can be provided)
  • Safety awareness and commitment to PPE and safe jobsite habits
  • Valid driver’s license (preferred, depending on route needs)

If you’re transitioning from landscaping, general construction, maintenance work, or any labor-intensive role, we encourage you to apply.

Why You’ll Like This Role

  • See the results of your work—you’ll build real features people will enjoy every day
  • Learn a specialized craft with a company focused on water features and lasting quality
  • Work with a supportive crew that values teamwork and doing things the right way
  • Hands-on growth—you’ll gain experience across many aspects of pond and waterfall construction

Benefits

  • Steady full-time work with project-based variety
  • On-the-job training and coaching from experienced team members
  • Opportunity to advance as you build skills and reliability in the role
  • Work that’s meaningful—creating outdoor spaces that enhance homes and landscapes

Specific benefits may vary based on experience and schedule. We’ll share details during the hiring process.
