Cyber Security Engineer II

  • Full Time
  • Binghamton, NY
  • $105,000–$135,000 USD annually USD / Year

Triple Cities Network Solutions

About The Role

Triple Cities Network Solutions (TCNS) is looking for a skilled Cyber Security Engineer II to help protect the systems that keep our clients—and our business—running. If you enjoy turning security gaps into measurable improvements, working across real-world environments, and collaborating with teams to harden infrastructure, this is your role.

In this position, you’ll design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity solutions that strengthen both internal and client-facing security posture. You’ll also play a hands-on role in monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving security controls across multiple environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement security solutions that align with organizational and client requirements.
  • Maintain and improve security controls across networks, endpoints, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Support the deployment and configuration of security tools and technologies used for detection, prevention, and response.
  • Monitor security posture and help identify risks, vulnerabilities, and gaps in existing controls.
  • Assist with incident response activities, including investigation, triage, documentation, and follow-through.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure security requirements are understood and delivered.
  • Perform security troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for issues affecting confidentiality, integrity, or availability.
  • Help develop and refine security processes and best practices to improve consistency and outcomes.
  • Keep documentation current, including runbooks, procedures, and technical notes.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging threats and recommend practical improvements to reduce risk.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience as a cybersecurity engineer (or closely related security role) with hands-on implementation and support.
  • Strong working knowledge of security fundamentals (network security, endpoint security, and vulnerability concepts).
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in real environments with a methodical approach.
  • Comfort working with security tooling (e.g., monitoring, alerting, vulnerability management, and/or endpoint/network protection systems).
  • Understanding of incident response workflows and the importance of clear documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills—able to explain security risks and remediation steps to technical and non-technical partners.
  • Strong attention to detail and a sense of ownership for outcomes.
  • Ability to manage priorities while supporting multiple client needs and internal security goals.

Why TCNS

At TCNS, you’ll be part of a team that values practical security—security that works, scales, and delivers real protection. You’ll collaborate with professionals who take security seriously, but keep it grounded in day-to-day execution.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation with room for growth based on performance and experience.
  • Professional development opportunities to expand your skills and stay current.
  • A supportive environment with teams that collaborate on solutions—not just tickets.
  • Work that makes a direct difference for internal systems and real client operations.
