Finance Assistant (£30,000) — Lincoln Area

If you’re a motivated, detail-focused professional ready to take your next step in finance, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, forward-thinking organisation in the Lincoln area. This is a full-time role with Monday to Friday hours and an initial hybrid setup of 1 day from home after probation.

What You’ll Do

As a Finance Assistant at Benjamin Edwards, you’ll be supporting the day-to-day finance operations and helping keep processes running smoothly. Your work will directly contribute to accurate records, timely reporting, and a clean, well-organised finance function.

  • Assist with core finance administration to support the wider finance team
  • Help maintain accurate financial records and ensure information is up to date
  • Support processing and reconciliation activities where required
  • Contribute to monthly and periodic reporting tasks
  • Support with invoice and transaction processing in line with agreed procedures
  • Follow internal controls and ensure documentation is completed to standard
  • Respond to internal queries in a timely, professional manner
  • Help improve finance processes by identifying opportunities for efficiency and accuracy

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need to be “perfect”—but you do need to bring energy, reliability, and a genuine interest in finance. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in doing things correctly and can manage their workload effectively.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage tasks with minimal supervision
  • Comfort working with numbers and administrative processes
  • Professional communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • A proactive mindset—someone who asks questions and takes ownership
  • Experience in an administrative or finance-support role is beneficial (but attitude and potential matter)

Location: Lincoln area

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Hybrid: 1 day hybrid after probation
