Senior Product Engineer (Fullstack)

Clipster

Clipster is building the creator economy’s next profit layer—and we need a Senior Product Engineer to help ship it

Clipster is where brands and creators connect to turn views into real profits. Creators clip, remix, and publish branded content across TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, X, and more—then earn money for every view they drive. Brands get a scalable, streamlined influencer marketing experience with reliable performance tracking.

We’re a small, high-output team that automates what used to be painful. If you love solving hard backend problems, but you’re also comfortable jumping into the frontend when it’s the fastest path to impact, this role is for you.

About Clipster

We started as an influencer marketing agency. Clients loved our results—but delivering them was a mess. So we automated the delivery pipeline, and it worked.

  • Launched our platform in early 2025
  • Grew to 35 team members
  • Scaled from 0 to 100,000+ creators
  • Paid out $5M+ to creators
  • Grew to 120+ clients through word of mouth only
  • Secured our first investor and we’re profitable
  • Worked with brands and artists including Telegram, UFC, Universal Music Group, Elton John, Ed Sheeran, Playboi Carti, Kendrick Lamar

About The Role

We’re hiring a Backend-Heavy Senior Product Engineer (Fullstack) who’s not afraid to touch the full stack. Your primary domain will be our Golang services and distributed architecture, but you’re a true Product Engineer at heart—meaning you understand the “why” behind the code and can move quickly in React/Next.js when that’s the shortest route to delivering value.

You’ll help us build systems that power creator payouts, campaign execution, and performance tracking—at scale, with reliability, clarity, and speed.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and build backend systems in Golang that support distributed workflows and high-throughput product features
  • Own production outcomes—you don’t just “close tickets,” you ship improvements that creators and brands feel
  • Work across the stack by contributing to the React/Next.js frontend when it accelerates delivery
  • Architect and evolve infrastructure using modern patterns for reliability, scalability, and maintainability
  • Implement and maintain data pipelines and services built on PostgreSQL and Redis (and ideally GCP)
  • Write clean, production-ready code with test coverage and documentation that keeps velocity high
  • Collaborate with a small, senior team through async-first workflows (Slack + Loom) and focused meetings
  • Mentor and raise the bar by reviewing designs, pairing, and helping others reason through tradeoffs
  • Use modern tools strategically to multiply output and keep the team moving at the cutting edge

How We Think (The Mindset We Hire For)

  • Intensity & Grit: You run toward hard problems and stay until they’re solved.
  • Ambitious Simplification: You can handle complexity—but you also know when the simplest solution is the best solution.
  • Ownership & Mission Alignment: You ship outcomes, not tasks. You care about the creator economy as much as we do.
  • AI Readiness: You leverage modern tooling to increase leverage and maintain momentum.
  • Humility & Collaboration: You communicate clearly, mentor others, and keep your ego out of the way.

Your Technical Toolkit

  • Core Backend:

    • 5+ years of experience
    • 3+ years of mastery in Golang
    • Comfort building high-performance distributed systems
  • Fullstack Versatility:

    • Backend is your home base, but you can confidently contribute to React/Next.js
    • You’re able to navigate the frontend when it’s the fastest path to user impact
  • Infrastructure & Data:

    • Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL and Redis
    • Ideally experience with GCP
  • Architectural Mindset:

    • You move smoothly between system design and shipping production code
    • Clean code, test coverage, and documentation are part of your velocity strategy

Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves)

  • Experience with payment systems (we handle roughly $1M in monthly payouts)
  • Event-driven architectures
  • Real-time data processing experience

Why Clipster

  • Total ownership

    • Join a lean tech team (fewer than 15 people)
    • What you build today can be used by millions tomorrow
  • Remote & async by default

    • Work where you’re most effective
    • We only ask for availability during core hours: 10am – 2pm UTC+2
  • Zero bureaucracy

    • No endless meetings
    • We value documentation, Slack, and Loom for high-bandwidth, low-noise collaboration

Next Steps

  • Discovery call: a brief chat with our recruiter
  • Pair programming: a hands-on session with one of our engineers
  • System design: discussion of an architectural problem based on our day-to-day challenges
  • Engineering excellence discussion: values, craft, and how you think through tradeoffs
  • Final meet: conversation with our Founder and PM about mission and values

Ready to build with ownership?

If you’re excited by distributed backend challenges, care about shipping real product outcomes, and can comfortably move between Golang and React/Next.js when it matters most, we’d love to meet you.
