As a Management Accountant at D2B, you’ll help shape pricing, profitability, and performance by translating payroll, labour costs, and client activity into clear monthly management reporting, variance insights, and KPI dashboards. What You’ll Do

You’ll own key reporting and analysis across labour-heavy operations—partnering closely with finance, operations, and recruitment to keep performance on track.

• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and structured variance analysis to explain performance drivers
• Monitor labour costs, margins, contractor profitability, and client performance—turning numbers into actionable insights
• Support budgeting and forecasting, including scenario thinking tied to workforce and operational changes
• Assist with cash flow management by providing timely cost and revenue inputs
• Reconcile payroll, timesheets, invoicing, and contractor costs to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Analyse award rates, overtime, allowances, and labour utilisation trends to identify opportunities and risks
• Support end-of-month and end-of-year financial processes, ensuring deadlines and data integrity are met
• Produce client profitability reports and maintain KPI dashboards that leadership can rely on
• Help with audit preparation and statutory reporting requirements
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities across finance and payroll systems to reduce manual effort and improve controls
• Partner with operations and recruitment teams to improve financial performance through better costing, forecasting, and reporting
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax obligations, and labour hire regulations

• Monday to Friday
• 9:00AM to 6:00PM AEST

What We’re Looking For

This role suits an accountant who can handle detail without losing the bigger commercial picture.

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• 3+ years of experience in management accounting
• Experience in labour hire, recruitment, staffing, construction, healthcare, logistics, or other workforce-heavy industries
• Strong understanding of payroll costing and workforce-related financial analysis
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience using accounting and payroll systems

Desirable

• Knowledge of Australian labour hire regulations and awards
• Experience with ERP systems such as MYOB, Xero, SAP, Oracle, or Pronto
• Power BI and/or financial modelling experience
