Royal Academy of Dramatic Art

About The Role

Help shape access to exceptional higher education at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). As the HE Courses Coordinator (Widening Participation), you’ll be at the heart of day-to-day delivery for our higher education programmes—supporting students, enabling great teaching experiences, and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

This role is especially focused on our Technical Theatre Arts and MA Theatre Lab courses. If you enjoy bringing structure to complex academic processes, supporting learners with care, and collaborating with academic teams to deliver excellence, you’ll thrive here.

What You’ll Do

You’ll coordinate the operational side of our HE programmes so students and staff can focus on learning, creativity, and performance outcomes. Your work will keep academic processes consistent, records accurate, and communication clear—while also strengthening our widening participation approach.

  • Coordinate day-to-day course administration for HE programmes, ensuring timely and accurate execution of course activities.
  • Support assessment processes, including practical and academic requirements, documentation, and coordination of relevant schedules.
  • Maintain and update student records in line with institutional processes and data accuracy requirements.
  • Act as a central point of contact for students and academic staff—responding to queries, escalating where needed, and keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Manage course-related communications, ensuring students receive clear, timely updates and instructions.
  • Support programme delivery by coordinating logistics for course activities where relevant (e.g., scheduling, documentation, and readiness for delivery).
  • Ensure consistency across academic processes by following internal procedures and standards.
  • Contribute to widening participation efforts by helping ensure processes are accessible, supportive, and student-focused.

How You’ll Work

  • Collaborate closely with academic staff to coordinate course needs and keep delivery on track.
  • Partner with colleagues across student services and programme teams to ensure smooth handovers and accurate information.
  • Use your organisational skills to manage priorities and deadlines across multiple stakeholders and programmes.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented coordinator who can balance administrative precision with a supportive, student-centred approach. You don’t just manage tasks—you help create a better experience for learners and colleagues alike.

  • Strong administrative coordination experience (ideally within education, training, or a structured academic environment).
  • Confidence supporting assessment processes, including handling documentation and coordinating schedules.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and record keeping.
  • Strong communication skills—you can explain processes clearly, respond professionally, and keep people updated.
  • Ability to act as a reliable point of contact for both students and academic staff.
  • Organisational skills to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • A supportive mindset aligned with widening participation—helping remove friction and ensuring students can access the information and support they need.

Why RADA?

RADA is a world-renowned institution where creativity meets academic rigour. In this role, you’ll contribute directly to the quality and consistency of our higher education programmes—supporting students as they develop their craft and confidence.

You’ll also be joining a team that values professionalism, collaboration, and care for learners.

Benefits

  • Meaningful work supporting higher education and widening participation
  • Collaborative team environment with strong links across academic and student support functions
  • Professional development opportunities through working within a specialist arts education environment
  • Structured processes and clear standards to help you succeed and deliver consistently
