Bulkhaul

Join Bulkhaul as a Logistics Planner (Middlesbrough)

Are you the kind of logistics professional who loves turning complexity into clear, reliable plans? At Bulkhaul, we move essential materials—bulk liquids, dry bulk, and gases—with safety and efficiency at the core of everything we do. Based in Middlesbrough, you’ll help coordinate day-to-day logistics operations, support customers with dependable execution, and keep our supply chain moving smoothly in a fast-paced global environment.

About The Role

Bulkhaul Limited has been a trusted logistics partner since 1981. We’re a global leader in the transportation of bulk liquids, dry bulk and gases, delivering reliable solutions to customers worldwide. Our Middlesbrough headquarters is dynamic, collaborative, and focused on continuous improvement—so if you enjoy ownership, problem-solving, and seeing plans come to life, this is a great place to grow.

This is a Permanent, Full-Time role as a Logistics Planner, offering a competitive salary dependent on experience and qualifications.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll play a key part in planning and coordinating logistics activities, ensuring shipments are organised effectively and delivered on time—while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

  • Plan and schedule logistics operations to support customer requirements and operational priorities.
  • Coordinate transport resources to ensure availability, capacity, and timely dispatch.
  • Monitor and track shipments to identify risks early and keep operations running smoothly.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders (operations, customer service, and relevant teams) to maintain alignment.
  • Maintain accurate planning and documentation to support audit readiness and operational traceability.
  • Respond to schedule changes with calm, practical solutions—re-planning when needed.
  • Support safe operations by following relevant procedures, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by spotting inefficiencies and helping refine planning processes.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a logistics planner who can balance attention to detail with strong organisation and communication. You don’t just “make plans”—you make sure plans work in the real world.

  • Experience in logistics planning (transport planning, scheduling, or operations coordination).
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
  • Good problem-solving ability, especially when plans need to adapt quickly.
  • Clear communication—you can coordinate with others and keep information accurate.
  • Strong attention to detail to support safe, compliant operations.
  • Comfort working with planning systems and documentation (and learning new tools quickly).
  • A safety-first mindset and commitment to delivering reliable logistics outcomes.

Why Bulkhaul

  • Global impact, local execution: contribute to a worldwide logistics operation from our Middlesbrough base.
  • Established and trusted: part of a company with a history dating back to 1981.
  • Real responsibility: your planning directly supports customer service and operational performance.
  • Fast-paced environment: you’ll be working with a team that values momentum, clarity, and accountability.

Benefits

We offer a competitive package and the chance to build your career with a respected logistics provider. Exact benefits may vary based on experience and qualifications, but you can expect a supportive team environment and a role that matters.

  • Permanent, full-time employment with stable long-term prospects.
  • Competitive salary dependent on experience and qualifications.
  • Opportunity to develop your planning and logistics expertise in bulk transport operations.
  • Collaborative culture where safety, reliability, and continuous improvement are taken seriously.
