About the Role

As a Skilled Volunteer Recruiter, you’ll help us find and engage the right volunteers—people who bring valuable skills, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm for student development. You’ll play a core role in building a strong volunteer pipeline, improving recruitment processes, and ensuring our program is supported by individuals who align with our mission.

This is a remote volunteer role designed for recruiters who want to use their expertise for good.

What You’ll Do

• Source and recruit skilled volunteers using a mix of outreach strategies tailored to each role and skill set
• Screen and assess candidates to ensure volunteers meet program needs and align with our student-focused mission
• Conduct outreach via email, social media, community networks, and professional groups
• Build and maintain relationships with prospective volunteers to support long-term engagement
• Coordinate application and onboarding steps so volunteers have a clear, welcoming path to participate
• Collaborate with program leadership to understand volunteer requirements and refine recruitment goals
• Track recruitment activity and maintain organized candidate records to support visibility and reporting
• Help improve recruitment workflows by sharing what’s working and recommending enhancements
• Represent Passion for Life, Inc. professionally in all candidate interactions

What We’re Looking For

• Recruiting experience (volunteer recruitment, staffing, talent acquisition, HR, or related roles preferred)
• Strong communication skills—you can clearly explain opportunities and build trust quickly
• Relationship-building mindset with the ability to engage people respectfully and persuasively
• Comfort with screening and evaluation to match candidates to needs
• Organizational skills to manage candidate flow and keep details accurate
• Professional judgment and a commitment to inclusive, student-centered outcomes
• Motivation to contribute to a mission-driven nonprofit and support students in discovering their passions
• Ability to work remotely and stay responsive with timely updates
